At Etang de la Vilotte, we have designed our off-grid venue to give you the perfect balance: a peaceful, remote fishing experience deep in the Limousin Natural Park, without compromising on the essential comforts.
Our facilities are eco-friendly, powered by solar energy, and fully accessible to all anglers 24/7.
Sanitary & Comfort Facilities
Hot Showers: Clean, modern, hot shower facilities are located on-site to refresh after a long night on the rods.
Dry Toilets: To ensure convenience no matter where you are positioned, we have dedicated, well-maintained dry toilets accessible on both sides of the lake.
24/7 Access: All sanitary facilities are independently accessible by anglers at any time of the day or night.
The Social & Cooking Area
Anglers are welcome to gather, cook, and share stories at our central outdoor social hub.
Covered Seating Area: A large, sheltered dining area providing complete shade from the summer sun or cover from unexpected rain.
Cooking Amenities: Fully equipped with a BBQ, a pizza oven, and a communal fridge to keep your food and drinks perfectly chilled.
Power & Charging Stations
Staying off-grid doesn’t mean dropping offline. Our central social area features a dedicated solar-powered charging hub with English and European plug points.
Device Charging: Safe charging for mobile phones, tablets, and headtorches.
Bait Boat Charging: Dedicated power points to keep your bait boat batteries topped up and ready for action.
Fly & Fish / Tackle Hire Facilities
For anglers traveling from the UK or further afield, we offer a complete hands-free “Fly & Fish” service to save you the long drive.
Airport Transfers: If you fly into Limoges Airport (just a 40-minute drive from the lake), collection and return transfers are free of charge.
Premium Tackle Hire: We provide a full 3-rod setup hire on-site. (Note: You will only need to bring your own reels, alarms, terminal tackle, headtorch, carp care kit, and sleeping bag).
Angler Essentials (Free of Charge): To ensure maximum fish safety, all anglers are supplied with high-quality landing nets, weigh slings, and cradles completely free of charge. No need to pack your own wet gear!
On-Site Bait: High-quality house pellets, particles, and boilies are available to purchase directly at the lake.
Local Amenities
While the lake is private and secure, you are never too far from civilization. Within a 10-minute drive in the nearby towns of Saint-Mathieu and Cussac, you will find:

Please Note: To ensure total peace on the bank and protect our local wildlife, dogs are not permitted at Etang de la Vilotte. Arrival time is strictly from 2:00 PM on Saturdays, with departure by 10:00 AM the following Saturday.
