Hey nice to meet you!
We are Paul and Nicki. After many months of searching for the perfect fishing lake we finally found it! We bought our carp fishing lake Etang de la Vilotte in Marval in the Haute-Vienne, France in January 2022. We live onsite with our two dogs Bailey & Chester aka Mr Whoppet who love meeting new humans. Paul is passionate about carp fishing and has over 35 years experience carp fishing both in the Uk and France. He is on hand for any help needed during your stay if required.
Ok so the full name of our fishing lake is a bit of a mouthful! That’s why our social media channels are just called EtangVilotte – check out and follow our Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube.
We are a very green site both in terms of trees and the energy we use. We are totally off grid with water from our well and solar panels for our electricity, there is nothing like solar energy to keep our planet from melting away so we do our bit. We have updated the facilities on the lake to include separate shower and dry toilets on both sides of the lake . The facilities are independently accessible by all anglers 24hrs a day. There is also an outside covered eating area with BBQ, pizza oven & fridge, a great place to socialise over dinner. There are electric points to charge phones, tablets & bait boats. We also have plans to build cabins on the far side of the lake, keep up to date with this and other news by following our Facebook & Instagram pages.
The lake is 5 acres with swims on both sides of the lake. We can cater for a total of 4 anglers or 5 if in the same group. There is plenty of space so you can spread out around the lake and have plenty of water access to give you the best chances to catch!
