Hey nice to meet you!
We are Paul and Nicki. After many months of searching for the perfect fishing lake we finally found it! We bought our carp fishing lake Etang de la Vilotte in Marval, near Cussac in the Haute-Vienne in France in January 2022. We live onsite with our two dogs. Paul has over 35 years experience in carp fishing both in the Uk and France, he is on hand for any help needed during your stay if required. The previous owners Martin and Peta ran fishing trips for UK anglers for 10 years so the carp stock is just superb with many well over 40lb carp and some 50lb plus.
Ok so the full name of our fishing lake is a bit of a mouthful! That’s why our social media channels are just called EtangVilotte – check out and follow our Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube.
We are a very green site both in terms of trees and the energy we use. We are totally off grid with water from our well and solar panels for our electricity, there is nothing like solar energy to keep our planet from melting away so we do our bit. The facilities at our fishing lake Etang de la Vilotte include 24hr access to shower and toilet facilities. The facilities are independently accessible by all the anglers. There is also an outside covered eating area with gas BBQ and an onsite caravan with fridge. There is also electric points to charge phones, tablets & bait boats.
There are six swims, three of which are double, so you can spread out around the lake and have plenty of water access to give you the best chances to catch!
